Luiza Bădin is core management group member and leader of Workgroup 2 (Measurement).
Luiza is Associate Professor at Department of Applied Mathematics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies and holds a PhD in Mathematics, awarded by the University of Bucharest. Her fields of interest include computer-intensive statistical methods, econometric modeling, optimization and applications in frontier estimation and efficiency and productivity analysis. She has been principal investigator of 2 national projects funded by Romanian Ministry of Education and Research, CNCS-UEFISCDI.
Her main publications in the area of efficiency analysis are concerned with nonparametric efficiency estimation and methodological developments of conditional frontier models with applications to various sectors. She has been a constant participant at the European Workshop on Efficiency and Productivity Analysis (EWEPA) in the past two decades.
